There is much to make about a name. DR Tekk is a play on several fronts. As a medical professional in orthopaedics, I use music to heal more than just skin and bones, ligaments and tendons, or joints and muscles. In the tradition of the African warrior scholars past and present, the vibratory forces heal minds and souls, and draw energy from within. Tekk isn’t just a nickname, it’s an ode to the Tekken monuments of ancient Axum (modern day Ethiopia) where  glorious indestructible structures represented permanence, stability, and were built to last forever. Just like a good son.
